Terms of Service
Last updated: March 27, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Blood Pressure Tracker ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These terms apply to all users of the App, including free and Premium users. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
2. Nature of the Service
- Does NOT provide medical advice of any kind
- Does NOT diagnose any medical condition
- Does NOT recommend treatment, medication, or lifestyle changes
- Is NOT a substitute for professional medical consultation
- Is NOT a certified medical device
Blood pressure readings recorded in this App should be shared with and interpreted by a qualified healthcare provider.
For authoritative blood pressure guidelines:
American Heart Association — High Blood Pressure
Hypertension Canada — Patient Resources
Blood Pressure Tracker is a personal health recording tool only. It enables you to log, organize, and review blood pressure readings that you measure with a separate, physical blood pressure device.
3. Permitted Use
The App is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
- Use the App for any commercial or professional medical purpose without express written consent
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its components
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Use the App in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of readings you manually enter into the App. The App records what you input — it does not verify the accuracy of data from your physical measurement device.
5. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Readings recorded in the App are clinically accurate — accuracy depends entirely on your physical blood pressure measurement device and your adherence to proper measurement technique
- The App meets any specific regulatory or medical standards
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bytelie shall not be liable for any:
- Health decisions, medical outcomes, or clinical events arising from use of the App
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data resulting from device failure, app deletion, or unauthorized access
Bytelie's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (zero for free users; the one-time purchase price for Premium users).
7. Apple Platform Terms
You acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and Bytelie only, not between you and Apple, Inc.
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any).
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
